Duxford Spring Show - Celebrating Women in Aviation


This years RAF Hawk display pilot Flight Lieutenant Juliette Fleming flew into Duxford from RAF Valley in a 208sqn Hawk T1 and was met by 10 other female members of the RAF spanning the various different trades and professions open to females.


Flight Lieutenant Juliette Fleming is 32 yrs old and was born in Cambridge and joined the RAF in 1999 and has seen active service in both Iraq and Afghanistan whilst flying the Tornado GR4.


This years spring show will bring together several of the country's top female display pilots including Anna Walker, Carolyn Grace, Dianna Britten, Judy Leden and Tricia Nevile displaying everything from the Spitfire to a Hang glider! It has all the ingredients for making a great day out for the whole family.


 

The Spring Air Show celebrates the achievements of women in aviation and will take place at the IWM Duxford on Sunday 22nd May 2011.
