RAF Lakenheath 23/07/10
FINALLY !!!!
After several trips to see the F-22's I finally got lucky with two sorties in a day.
Of the 4 that made the trip to Lakenheath one seems to have been grounded for much of the deployment and so I only managed to photograph 3 of the 4.
Whatever these guys were doing it was pretty local as both sorties were not very long probably a maximum of 1 hour.
Sadly the sun didn't play ball but at least it wasn't raining.
The aircraft involved were:-
06-4108/AK F-22A 525th FS
06-4113/3rd OG F-22A 525th FS
06-4126/AK F-22A 525th FS
07-4131/AK F-22A 525th FS
525th are no strangers to Europe having previously been based at Bitburg flying the F-15. These latest beasts are somewhat different however !
